Leading in Sustainability with Two Labels

The choices that we have made with laser-focused conviction since the cooperative was created, our constant quest for perennity and our social contribution geared to the development of our region are all structuring commitments that have forged our brand and which make it so unique today.

We are committed to producing, in our Basque Country workshop, high quality, durable furniture by promoting and transmitting our know-how and doing this with the deepest respect for our environment and human relations. Each product is the result of close collaboration between the designer, cooperative members and local partners, illustrating the cooperative’s core values: perennity, technical expertise, creation, activism and cooperative culture.

These commitments have been recognised by two reference labels: the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label, the government-awarded Living Heritage label that distinguishes French companies with exceptional artisanal and industrial know-how; Ecovadis Gold certification that positions us among the 5% of highest performing companies with regard to corporate social responsibility. These two accolades bear witness not only to our level of technical expertise but also to our very real and staunch commitment to confronting social and environmental challenges.

We envisage the future with conviction, constructing our new production premises that will bring together all of Alki’s different trades and which will be open to all. Respecting our region and controlling our environmental impact are naturally central to the architecture of this place. Our “zero-energy” workshop has been designed as an efficient and sustainable production tool intended to inspire not only the cooperative members who work there but also clients and inquiring minds from around the world. It will be equipped with cutting-edge technologies that will enable us to optimise our manufacturing processes and further reduce our environmental footprint.
