The collection is available in Alki’s boutique, located within the new workshop in Larresoro. The idea is to collaborate with complementary crafts across the territory.
Pyrenean limestone alabaster has long been carefully crafted in the Basque Country, in the southern part of Navarre, in the village of Cintruénigo. Often veined, this stone reveals on its surface gentle waves in shades of honey yellow, from light to dark. Slightly translucent, it was once used as glazing in Romanesque chapels across Navarre. We have created a collection of light-related objects — candle holders, lamps, and a small catchall dish… Traditionally, this soft stone is mainly shaped on a lathe. For this collection, we chose to highlight that turning technique through a play of rounded and cylindrical forms, voids and volumes — simple yet generous.
